Oki Enjoys Euro Trophex Show Success
Oki has enjoyed success at the Euro Trophex Show, where its C711WT technology triumphed in two fields.
It was recognised with Best in New Technology and Best in Image Transfer trophies after it became the first colour LED machine with white toner to be added to the CMY colour process.
Harry Takahashi, managing director of OKI Europe, said: "With our new LED printer, we are set to substantially expand what until now has been a highly specialist, niche 'white printer' market.
"Over many years, OKI has built much of its success on technology innovation."
The Euro Trophex Awards have been launched for the first time and are based on what judges see demonstrated at the show.
Oki has received awards from elsewhere recently, as it picked up the Information Processing Technology Heritage certification from the Information Processing Society of Japan for its Wiredot printer.
It was developed as the company's first dot matrix printer in 1968, with many specialists describing it as the root of digital printer technology.
