Lexmark Purchases Acuo Technologies
Lexmark has purchased Acuo Technologies in a bid to support the company's growth and increase software capabilities.
When combined with Lexmark's Perceptive healthcare software solutions, Acuo Technologies will allow customers to deploy an enterprise-wide access platform for clinical content through an electronic medical record.
Acuo Technologies' Universal Clinical Platform provides better care delivery via a patient-centric approach which will consolidate medical images.
Thanks to the acquisition, Perceptive Software is the only vendor that owns the technology.
Paul Rooke , Lexmark's chairman and chief executive officer, said: " With the acquisition of Acuo Technologies, Lexmark is further strengthening and differentiating our industry-leading healthcare offerings as the healthcare IT market continues to expand at a rapid pace."
Lexmark was recently acknowledged in by Gartner, which put the company in the Leaders Quadrant of its 2012 MFP (multi-function printer) and Printer Magic Quadrant.
Gartner specialises in independent multi-vendor reports, evaluating firms based on their "ability to execute".
