Government Staff Encouraged To Set Up Home Office During The Olympics
Government staff are being encouraged to set up home offices ahead of the Olympics to that they can work from home during the Games.
According to a report from the Daily Telegraph, Operation Stepchange will see this initiative being trialled, with staff asked not to come into the office for four days in February.
This will allow Whitehall to assess whether plans to help ease pressure on the public transport system during the Games are likely to be effective.
“The amount of planning for not coming to the office is ridiculous. Working from home is not exactly rocket science but we are approaching it as though we were preparing for nuclear war," a source told the newspaper.
It is thought that next month's trial run is one of three sessions before the seven-week work from home programme which is being implemented for the Games.
In order to work effectively from home, people should ensure they have all the equipment they need, including access to a printer and ink cartridges. For the same deal that their company gets, home office workers should visit Trade Ink Cartridges for cheap wholesale ink cartridges.
