Esko Confirms New OEM Partnership With Epson
Esko and Epson have announced a new partnership, which will see the ink specialist provide its Surepress L-4033 digital label printer series with an Esko digital front end (DFE).
The bespoke DFE will be incorporated in the six-colour Surepress L-4033A and the seven-colour L04033W machines, with the technology helping to streamline the pre-press and workflow processes, reports Print Week.
News of this partnership comes after Epson picked up a gold honour in the Best of Biz Awards' small to medium business product of the year category.
Jef Bogaerts, head of commercial partnerships at Esko, told the news provider: "As the label and packaging market increasingly transitions from analogue to digital solutions, manufacturers of digital printing equipment are looking for digital front-end alternatives that can effectively address workflow and job processing issues specific to their industry."
Esko's DFE features Colour Engine 12, allowing systems to process files of up to seven colours.
